Step 1: Hand-squeeze out all the excess moisture in the broccoli, then coarsely chop.
Step 2: In a bowl beat the cream cheese with sour cream, dry salad dressing mix and garlic until blended. Fold in the broccoli and 1 1/2 cups of Swiss cheese. Season with black pepper and hot sauce.
Step 3: Transfer to a greased shallow 1-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese; bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Serve warm with crackers.
