Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (14.5 ounce) stewed tomatoes
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 can (14.5 ounce) pinto beans (or kidney beans, rinsed and drained )
  • 1 package (1 ounce) dry ranch salad dressing mix
  • 1 package (2 ounce) taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can (14.5 ounce) ranch style beans, or chili beans, undrained
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro
  • 1 can (10 ounce) Rotel tomatoes (or 2 cans)
  • 1 can (14.5 ounce) creamed corn
  • FOR VARIATIONS
  • 1 can (14.5 ounce) corn, drained
  • 1 can (16 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 can (15 ounce) kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
  • FOR CONDIMENTS (OPTIONAL)
  • Lettuce, shredded
  • Tomato, chopped
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Sour cream
  • Tortilla chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook ground beef, garlic and onion until tender. Drain fat.

  • Step 2: Put all ingredients in the crock pot. Mix well. Simmer on low for 6 to 10 hours.

  • Step 3: Serve with any or all of the condiments.

  • Step 5: Make as above and simmer for at least 1 hour. The longer it cooks, the better it tastes.
