Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 60 grams Bisquick Baking Mix (original Bisquick, 1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons margarine (or butter, softened)
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can (21 ounce) cherry pie filling
  • FOR BROWN SUGAR STREUSEL
  • 60 grams Bisquick Baking Mix (original Bisquick, 1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons margarine (or butter, firm from a stick not spread)
  • Slivered almonds, toasted

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 400°F. Grease pie plate, 9x1 1/4 inches.

  • Step 2: Stir all ingredients except pie filling, brown sugar streusel and almonds until blended. Pour into pie plate. Spoon pie filling over top.

  • Step 3: Bake 30 minutes.

  • Step 4: Meanwhile prepare brown sugar streusel: Mix Bisquick, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in margarine/butter, using fork or pastry blender, until mixture is crumbly.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle brown sugar streusel over pie filling. Bake about 10 minutes or until streusel is golden brown; cool. Sprinkle with almonds.
