  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons green pepper (minced)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 16 ounces white bread (16 slices)
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces american cheese (8 slices)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute ground beef, onions and green bell peppers until done

  • Step 2: Drain grease

  • Step 3: Add water and bbq sauce

  • Step 4: Simmer for 15 minutes

  • Step 5: Butter one side of bread

  • Step 6: Put butter side down on cookie sheet

  • Step 7: Divide the mixture between the 8 slices of bread

  • Step 8: Top with cheese

  • Step 9: Butter one side of bread and put butter side up on top of cheese

  • Step 10: Broil each side until brown
