Step 1: Combine tomatoes, onion, basil, chilli, vinegar and half the oil in a medium bowl and season with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Toss asparagus in remaining oil in a medium bowl and season with salt and pepper.
Step 3: Heat a grill plate over a medium to high heat and add asparagus and cook, turning occasionally, for about 5 to 7 minutes or until just tender.
Step 4: Remove and cover to keep warm.
Step 5: Cook bread on same grill plate for about 2 minutes on each side, or until toasted.
Step 6: Spread aioli over toast and top with asparagus and tomato mixture and serve with extra aioli.
