Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 packages (2 ounce each) dried beef (buddig dried beef Armour comes in jars and there are other brands available as well)
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 scallions (white and green parts), fine minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce (you can add a bit more if you want)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Beef ... Add both packages of beef to a small food process and pulse until fine chopped. Do NOT over chop - you just want to mince the meat.

  • Step 2: Cheese ... Add the cream cheese, 1/2 of the beef, scallions, garlic and worcestershire sauce to a small bowl and mix well.

  • Step 3: Shape ... Lay a 12x12 piece of wax paper or parchment paper down and add the remaining beef, then add the cheese on top of the beef. Use the paper to help roll the cheese in the beef. Roll it back and forth until it is completely covered, and shaped in the form of a log. Twist the ends to make a nice tight package. Chill until firm, at least 1 hour.

  • Step 4: Serve ... I like a hearty wheat cracker, but triscuits or wheat thins are also a nice choice. Those small party breads such as pumpernickel or rye are also very good; as are vegetables, such as celery, tomatoes and even boiled new potatoes. ENJOY!
