Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped yellow onion
  • 1 to 2 cups turkey broth (depending on how moist you want it)
  • 24 cups cubed bread (approx. 2 loaves of bread)
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 cup minced parsley
  • 3 large eggs (slightly beaten)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large skillet, cook the celery and onion in hot melted butter until tender; about 10 minutes.

  • Step 2: Add all seasonings to the butter mixture in the skillet, and stir well until througly mixed.

  • Step 3: Add the butter seasoning mixture, beaten eggs, and broth to the large bowl of bread cubes. Mix together well.

  • Step 4: Put the dressing into a greased 13x9 casserole dish. Cover with foil and bake 35-45 minutes in a 325 degree oven. Uncover the last 10 minutes.
