Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 can (14 ounce) coconut milk (full-fat)
  • Cinnamon stick (1 stick, 3 inch)
  • 1 teaspoon dried turmeric powder
  • Ginger root (1 piece, 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled sliced thin)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cups water
  • Ground cinnamon powder (garnish)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a small saucepan, combine coconut milk, cinnamon stick, turmeric, ginger, black pepper and honey. Add 2 cups water and stir well.

  • Step 2: Bring to a slow boil on high heat then lower heat to a simmer. Stir occasionally for 10 minutes.

  • Step 3: Strain out the solids and serve with ground cinnamon sprinkled on top.
