Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 300 grams buttermilk baking mix (Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix, 3 cups)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 8 ounces breakfast sausage (cooked & crumbled)
  • 1 package (13 to 15 ounces) bacon (about 13-15 slices pre-cooked & chopped, reserve a sml amt for topping)
  • 1 medium apple (Cored, peeled & sliced into 1/8" thick slices)
  • 1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Maple syrup to serve

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F.

  • Step 2: Lightly coat an 11x7-in baking pan w/cooking spray. In lrg bowl, combine the pancake mix, water & maple syrup. Add & mix in the sausage & bacon. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Layer the apple slices over the batter mixture. Sprinkle brown sugar & cinnamon over the top of apples. Carefully pour the remaining batter over the apple & cinnamon sugar layer.

  • Step 3: Bake 40-45 min until firm & golden brown. During the last 10 min of baking, scramble 2 eggs, break up any lrg pieces & set aside. Remove baking pan from oven. Sprinkle w/scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese & the remaining chopped bacon.

  • Step 4: Bake for an another 5 min or until cheese is melted. Cut into squares & serve w/warmed maple syrup drizzled over the top.
