Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 cups carrots, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup Kahlua, divided
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 to 6 bacon slices (fried crisp and crumbled)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook carrots in a steamer until they're tender-crisp which should take 4-5 minutes.

  • Step 2: Remove from heat.

  • Step 3: Melt Butter in a skillet over medium heat.

  • Step 4: Stir in brown sugar, honey & 2 tablespoons of the Kahlua and cook until it bubbles.

  • Step 5: Mix the remaining Kahlua with the cornstarch and stir until it's a smooth mixture. Add to the brown sugar mixture.

  • Step 6: Add salt and cook until the mixture thickens.

  • Step 7: Add the carrots and toss gently to coat. Continue cooking until the carrots are thoroughly heated.

  • Step 8: Put carrots in a serving dish and top with the crumbled bacon.
