Step 1: Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla together until light and fluffy.
Step 2: Mix in flour and pecans.
Step 3: Chill 2 hours.
Step 4: Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll into 1-inch balls.
Step 5: Place on ungreased baking sheet(s).
Step 6: Bake at 375' until very lightly brown--10-12 minutes.
Step 7: Cool on wire rack.
Step 8: Roll in powdered sugar.
Step 9: Store in airtight container.
