Step 1: Butter 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
Step 2: In top of double boiler melt butter in milk.
Step 3: Stir in frosting mix..Heat over rapidly boiling water for 5 minutes, stirring ocassionaly.
Step 4: Stir in nuts and cherries
Step 5: Spread mixture evenly in prepared loaf pan.
Step 6: Cool until firm.
Step 7: Cut into 1-inch squares.
