Step 1: Mix molasses, shortening and sugar.
Step 2: Blend in remaining ingredients.
Step 3: Cover and chill at least 4 hours.
Step 4: Heat oven to 375.
Step 5: Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to 1/8 inch thick, or if desired paper thin.
Step 6: Cut into desired shapes.
Step 7: Place 1/2 inch apart on ungreased baking shee.
Step 8: Bake 8 minutes or until set.
Step 9: Immediately remove from baking sheet and let cool.
Step 10: Frost with creamy frosting if desired.
