Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 box brownie mix (to fit a 13 x 9-inch pan)
  • 1 cup coarsley chopped dry roasted peanuts
  • Peanut Butter Topping:
  • 1 cup peanut butter (use purchased peanut butter)
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon table cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Chocolate Topping:
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions; mix in chopped roasted peanuts. Bake as directed; cool completely.

  • Step 2: For peanut butter topping; in a bowl beat peanut butter with 1/4 cup butter using an electric mixer until well combined. Add in powdered sugar, pinch salt, nutmeg, cream and vanilla; beat until smooth and blended. Spread over cooled brownies.

  • Step 3: For chocolate topping; in a saucepan combine 8 ounces chocolate chips with 1/4 cup butter; cook stirring over low heat until smooth (this can also be done in the microwave). Drizzle the chocolate over the top of the peanut butter topping, then spread out to cover.

  • Step 4: Chill about 2 hours or until set. Cut into squares.
