Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 24 slices white bread, crusts removed
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 1/2cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup your favorite jam
  • 4 tablespoon icing sugar
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat your oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees

  • Step 2: Spread the jam on 12 pieces of bread, be a bit generous with the jam

  • Step 3: Cover with another slice of bread and cut either into 3 piees to make a bismark or into 4 squares

  • Step 4: Beat together the eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla

  • Step 5: Lightly dip both sides of the donut into the egg mixture (do not soak the donut)

  • Step 6: Drop the donuts into the pre heated oil,fry one side, flip fry the other side They will be golden and crisp (approximately 2 minutes each side)

  • Step 7: When cooked place on a rack, sprinkle with sugar
