Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 liter red wine (cheap is good, doesn't have to be fancy!)
  • 1 liter orange juice (or less, depending on how strong you want it)
  • 2 cups pineapple juice (or less, depending on how strong you want it)
  • 1 cup about (10 ounces) fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup about (5 ounces) blackberries
  • 1 cup about (6 ounces) mango, cut in cubes (ripe)
  • 1 cup about (6 ounces) watermelon, cut in cubes
  • 1 pound oranges, whole (2 oranges about 1 lb, sliced)
  • 3 ounces starfruit (1 carambola about 3 ounces, sliced into stars ALSO KNOW AS STARFRUIT)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place all the ingredients except the carambola (starfruit) in a large pitcher and stir to combine. Refrigerate until well chilled

  • Step 2: To serve, scoop some of the fruit into a large wineglass, then fill the glass with the sangria. Decorate the side of the glass with a slice of starfruit. You can add a little ice, if desired.

  • In Costa Rica, we would pour everything into an insulated tumbler with a little bit of ice. Great for floating around in the pool!
