How to Make

  • TO MAKE THE BUTTER

  • Step 1: Add all of the ingredients to a food mixer with a paddle attachment and mix well for 1-2 minutes until all of the ingredients are incorporated. Alternatively, use a mixing bowl and wooden spatula.

  • Step 2: Turn out onto a sheet of plastic wrap and spread out to make a 1/4 inch thick layer. Wrap tightly into a block. Alternatively roll tightly in plastic wrap to form a cylindrical shape and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.

  • TO ASSEMBLE THE COCKTAIL

  • Step 3: Cut a 1 1/4 in square or small cylinder of the whisky butter and add to a mug. Pour in 1 2/3 fl oz of whisky, then top up with hot water and stir to incorporate.

  • NOTE: How much water? You want to create a smooth, rich consistency and avoid watering down the drink. Depending on your tolerance and flavor preference, expect to add about twice as much water as whiskey, but add it bit by bit to see how you like it, and adjust from there
