Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 pound crabmeat (1 cup, cooked and flaked, cartilage removed)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried dillweed
  • 2 teaspoons green onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon lime peel, finely shredded
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • Hot sauce (2 dashes bottled hot pepper sauce)
  • Cayenne pepper, dash (optional)
  • 3 sprigs fresh dillweed (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Reserve a few flakes of crabmeat for garnish; chill until ready to serve.

  • Step 2: In a bowl stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, the remaining flaked crabmeat, dillweed, green onion, lime peel, lime juice, hot pepper sauce, and if desired, cayenne pepper; mix well. Transfer to a serving bowl; chill for 2 hours or overnight.

  • Step 3: Just before serving, sprinkle dip with reserved crabmeat and if desired, garnish with fresh dill sprigs.

  • Step 4: I desired serve with vegetable sticks...such as celery, zucchini, or cucumber sticks.
