Step 1: Cook macaroni according to package directions. drain.
Step 2: In a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook beef and onion until meat is no longer pink; drain.
Step 3: Add in garlic cumin and chili flakes; cook until meat is lightly browned (about 10-12 minutes).
Step 4: Stir in the tomatoes, corn, tomato sauce and green chilies; bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 25-30 minutes stirring frequently (season with salt and pepper about halfway through cooking time).
Step 5: Mix in cooked macaroni.
Step 6: Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and allow to melt.
