  • 1 small (3 ounce) carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger, heaping
  • 1/4 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar (not seasoned)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil (toasted)
  • 1/4 cup oil (canola oil)
  • 2 tablespoons water, plus more as needed
