The ingredients are:
  • 4 (5 ounces) bread buns (hamburger buns)

  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano, or other soft herb, chopped
  • 1/2 cup spring onion, finely chopped
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon blue cheese (soft, cut into four pieces - optional)

  • Mustard
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut the buns in half and put to one side.

  • Step 2: Combine the beef with the herb, spring onion and plenty of seasoning.

  • Step 3: Using wet hands, shape into four patties the same size as the base of the buns and then carefully insert a piece of the cheese into the centre of each patty and close up - butter also works well.

  • Step 4: When ready to serve, turn your barbecue or grill to high and cook the burgers over a high heat until browned on both sides, turning once, suggested to leave slightly pink.

  • Step 5: Lightly toast your buns.

  • Step 6: To serve, place some greens on the base of the buns, followed by the tomato slices and then the burger and then top with some pickles and serve extra on the side along with some mustard, finely top with the bun top.
