Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 3/4 pounds rutabagas (peeled and quartered)
  • 1 1/2 pounds turnips (peeled and quartered)
  • 1 pound russet potatoes (peeled and quartered)
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter (1/2 a cube)
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the rutabaga in a 6 quart pot, cover with enough water to allow for the other ingredients. Add a pinch of salt. Boil for 15 minutes.

  • Step 2: Add the turnips and potatoes and boil 15 minutes more, until all the vegetables are tender. Drain well.

  • Step 3: Mash the vegetables with the remaining ingredients. (I do it right in the pot.) You can also use an immersion blender to puree them.
