Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 16 large shrimp, cooked, peeled and deveined (can use frozen precooked shrimp, thawed)
  • Chili Dip:
  • 1 hard-boiled egg, chopped fine
  • 3/4 cup olive oil mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sweet pickles, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons grated onion
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • Butter Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine chili sauce ingredients; cover and chill 1-2 hours.

  • Step 2: In a small saucepan, combine butter sauce ingredients over low heat, stirring occasionally, until butter is melted and heated thoroughly.

  • Step 3: Cut bacon slices in half crosswise; wrap one half slice of bacon around each shrimp and secure with a toothpick.

  • Step 4: Arrange shrimp on a broiler pan without touching; brush with butter sauce.

  • Step 5: Place rack about 3 inches from heat; broil 5 minutes, brushing once more with butter sauce halfway through cooking.

  • Step 6: Serve immediately with chili sauce for dipping.
