Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 400 ml water
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 small red chilli
  • Fresh gingerroot (3cm piece ginger, finely sliced)
  • 500 ml orange juice
  • 150 grams honey
  • 1 lemon (zest and juice of)
  • 2 oranges, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the water, spices, chilli and ginger in a small saucepan and simmer until reduced by half. Pour in the juice, honey lemon zest and lemon juice, then simmer for 3 minutes, until aromatic.

  • Step 2: Put the chopped orange pieces in tall glasses, then strain in the orange juice mixture. Serve warm.
