Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 head (1 pound) iceberg lettuce
  • 6 ounces sliced bacon (6 slices, crisp-cooked and halved)
  • 9 ounces carrots (3 carrots, thinly bias-sliced)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup radish, sliced (6 radish)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 3 garlic cloves, mashed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Trim stem from lettuce while leaving the core intact and cut the lettuce in quarters, place the wedges on individual serving plates.

  • Step 2: Arrange bacon, carrots, green onions, and radishes on and around each wedge.

  • Step 3: In a screw-top jar combine olive oil, vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cover tightly and shake until combined. Immediately drizzle over salad.

  • Step 4: Note: For serving ~ Use 1 lettuce wedge plus 2 tablespoons dressing.
