Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup oats (quick-cooking, or old-fashioned rolled oats, prepared per package directions)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ounce sliced bacon (1 slice, thick-sliced)
  • 2 ounces avocado (sliced, 1/4 ripe avocado)
  • 2 tablespoons salsa (mild, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste for egg & avocado slices)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Make 1 serving of quick-cooking or old-fashioned rolled oats per pkg directions & pour into the bottom of a wide bowl.

  • Step 2: Fry 1 egg per your preferences & set it on the left side of the bowl.

  • Step 3: Crisp cook 1 thick slice of bacon, break in half & set to the right of the fried egg.

  • Step 4: Place the avocado slices to the right of the bacon, so from left-to-right you will have your egg, the bacon & the avocado slices lined up.

  • FINISHING OPTION #1: Top the avocado slices w/2 tbsp salsa

  • FINISHING OPTION #2: Drizzle 1 tbsp Maple Syrup over the bacon & avocado slices (My choice - I love oatmeal & salsa, but not sure I'd love them together)
