Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound asparagus (16 spears, woody ends trimmed, approx. 1-2 bunches)
  • FRAGRANT LEMON DRESSING
  • 3 tablespoons oil (extra virgin)
  • 1 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 lemon (finely grated zest and juice of)
  • 3/4 teaspoon honey mustard (wholegrain mustard, optional)
  • Parmesan cheese (shaved/grated fresh, optional)
  • Coarsely ground black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: To prepare the Fragrant Lemon Dressing, use a whisk or fork, to combine olive oil, garlic, honey, lemon rind and juice and pepper in a small bowl. Set aside (if not using at once store in the refrigerator).

  • Step 2: Cook the asparagus by steaming 4-5 minutes or until just tender. (Or cook the asparagus your preferred way until just tender.)

  • Step 3: Arrange freshly cooked asparagus on a large serving platter or individual serving plates.

  • Step 4: Drizzle dressing over, dust with coarsely ground black pepper and serve hot, warm or cold.

  • Step 5: Top with some grated or shave parmesan before serving if desired.
