Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 leek (small white part only thinly sliced)
  • 500 grams boneless skinless chicken breast (cut into 3cm pieces)
  • Honey mustard chicken recipe base (MasterFoods brand specified, 175 grams)
  • 1/2 cup light cream (light thickened cream)
  • 100 grams green string beans (halved)
  • 90 grams frozen green peas (1/4 cup)
  • 200 grams white rice (medium grain white rice, 1 cup Sunrice brand recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in a large, deep frying pan over medium high heat and cook the leek, stirring for 3 to 4 minutes or until softened and then add the chicken and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until the chicken is browned.

  • Step 2: Add the honey mustard chicken recipe base, cream and beans and bring to the boil and then reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes, then add the peas and simmer, uncovered, for 2 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.

  • Step 3: Meanwhile cook the rice following packet directions.

  • Step 4: Serve the honey mustard chicken and vegetables on the rice, sprinkled with parsley flakes.
