Step 1: Mix together, the flour, cornstarch, brown and white sugar.
Step 2: Add water and cook until very thick, stirring constantly.
Step 3: Add slightly beaten tempered egg yolks; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add butter, salt and vanilla then allow to cool. Pour into crust
Step 4: Top with meringue and bake 12 minutes in oven at 350 longer if needed until browned.
