Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cans (15 1/2 ounces) hominy (white or yellow hominy, rinsed and drained, 15 1/2 ounce each can)
  • 12 ounces Velveeta cheese (cubed)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 4 ounces yellow onion, finely chopped (1/2 onion)
  • 3 slices bacon (3 strips, cooked and crumbled)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoons chopped parsley (fresh)
  • Paprika, dash

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl, beat egg. Add hominy, cheese, milk, onion, bacon, butter and pepper; mix well.

  • Step 2: Spoon into a greased 11-in. x 7-in. baking dish.

  • Step 3: Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes or until bubbly and top begins to brown.

  • Step 4: Let stand a few minutes before serving.

  • Step 5: Garnish with parsley if desired.
