Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 12 ounces bone-in pork loin chops (2 thick-cut chops, 6 ounce each)
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • Seasoned salt, dash
  • Pepper, dash
  • FOR SAUCE
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon whole black peppercorns (crushed)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

How to Make

  • Step 1: For the sauce: heat oil, then add the shallot, thyme, and the salt. Cook for about 2 minutes, or until the shallot begins to brown.

  • Step 2: Pour in the vinegar and scrape the bottom of the pan to remove the browned bits. Reduce the heat to a simmer and let the liquid reduce for 2 minutes. Add the maple syrup and crushed black pepper.

  • Step 3: Meanwhile, heat skillet then spray with Pam.

  • Step 4: Season the chops with salt and pepper, then add to pan. Cook 10 minutes on each side or until pork chops are done.

  • Step 5: Add sauce to chops and cook to glaze do this on low so it does not burn
