Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 cups gluten-free flour (flour blend)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons xanthan gum
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin spice (or make own)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (white)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar (I used apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoon oil (vegetable oil)
  • 1 cup water

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine first 6 ingredients in greased 8 inch square baking pan 5 if using regular flour and omitting xantham gum. make 3 depressions in dry ingredients.2 small 1 large. pour water over all.mix well until smooth.

  • Step 2: Bake 350* 30-35 minutes. check with toothpick mine took 30 minutes. top with favorite frosting. I used vanilla. recipe says you can double but put in 9x13.

  • Step 3: For pumkin spice I used 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon , 1/2 teaspoon each clove, ginger, nutmeg
