Step 1: Combine the sugar and 2 tablespoons water in a saucepan. Do not stir.
Step 2: Cook over medium-high heat to a dark caramel, swirling as it begins to brown to distribute the sugar.
Step 3: While the sugar and water are going at it, heat up the cream in microwave just until warm.
Step 4: Take off the heat and add your room temperature butter.
Step 5: Whisk the butter in, being sure it’s totally combined.
Step 6: Add your warmed cream and whisk vigorously and add the salt. Set aside.
Step 7: In large saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons butter over low heat.
Step 8: Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
Step 9: Remove from heat and add the caramel and stir until thoroughly combined.
Step 10: Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.
Step 11: Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray.
