The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package (10 ounce) marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the sugar and 2 tablespoons water in a saucepan. Do not stir.

  • Step 2: Cook over medium-high heat to a dark caramel, swirling as it begins to brown to distribute the sugar.

  • Step 3: While the sugar and water are going at it, heat up the cream in microwave just until warm.

  • Step 4: Take off the heat and add your room temperature butter.

  • Step 5: Whisk the butter in, being sure it’s totally combined.

  • Step 6: Add your warmed cream and whisk vigorously and add the salt. Set aside.

  • Step 7: In large saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons butter over low heat.

  • Step 8: Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.

  • Step 9: Remove from heat and add the caramel and stir until thoroughly combined.

  • Step 10: Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.

  • Step 11: Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray.
