Step 1: Drain beans and reserve 1/2 cup of liquid.
Step 2: Fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and crumble. Drain off all but 1 tbsp. of drippings. Add onion and brown slightly.
Step 3: Stir in salt, cornstarch, sugar, vinegar, mustard and the 1/2 cup liquid from beans. Stir constantly until mixture boils and thickens.
Step 4: Add the drained beans and heat thoroughly,
Step 5: Turn into serving dish and garnish with crumbled bacon and hard boiled eggs.
