Step 1: In double boiler, heat 1 1/2 cups milk.
Step 2: Mix cornstarch mixture, pour into hot milk stir until thick.
Step 3: Temper yolks mixed with vanilla, pour into pudding mix. Pour into pie shell.
Step 4: Beat egg whites stiff while slowly adding sugar. Put on top of pudding mix.
Step 5: Bake 325 for 30 minutes until whites are browned.
Step 6: Chill 4 hours.
