  • FOR CORNSTARCH MIX
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 egg yolks
  • FOR THE TOPPING
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: In double boiler, heat 1 1/2 cups milk.

  • Step 2: Mix cornstarch mixture, pour into hot milk stir until thick.

  • Step 3: Temper yolks mixed with vanilla, pour into pudding mix. Pour into pie shell.

  • Step 4: Beat egg whites stiff while slowly adding sugar. Put on top of pudding mix.

  • Step 5: Bake 325 for 30 minutes until whites are browned.

  • Step 6: Chill 4 hours.
