Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, very finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard (or to your taste, or country-style dijon mustard)
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 green onion, finely sliced
  • Tabasco sauce (to your taste)
  • 2 steaks (8 to 12 ounces) halibut fish (about 4-6 ounce each)
  • Lemon juice (as much as desired)
  • Seasoned salt
  • Ground pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: To prepare the topping: Combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic, mustard, Parmesan, green onion and Tabasco.

  • Step 2: To prepare the halibut: Place fish on a broiling pan.

  • Step 3: Sprinkle with lemon juice, then seasoned salt and pepper.

  • Step 4: Bake in a preheated 450-degree oven 12 minutes per inch of thickness, or until fish tests done.

  • Step 5: Remove fish from oven and place a rack close to the broiling element. Turn the oven to broil.

  • Step 6: Spread the top of the fish with garlic-Parmesan topping.

  • Step 7: Broil about 1 minute, or until golden.
