Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 (30 gram) tortilla (6 inch, flour tortilla)
  • 1 cup ice cream (vanilla, worked into ball shape)
  • FOR SUGAR MIX
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • FOR CRUMB MIX
  • 1/4 cup corn flakes, crushed (kellogg's corn flake crumbs)
  • 1/4 cup vanilla wafers, crushed
  • FOR TOPPING
  • 4 tablespoons whipped cream (canned whipped cream)
  • Maraschino cherry (1 cherry)
  • 1 tablespoon honey

How to Make

  • Step 1: Form vanilla into a ball.

  • Step 2: Roll the ball of ice cream in the cinnamon sugar mixture until completely coated.

  • Step 3: Roll in corn flake crumbs mixture till coated.

  • Step 4: Place in the freezer to harden.

  • Step 5: Place the hardened ice cream ball in a fry basket and deep fry for 2 seconds at 350 degrees fahrenheit.

  • FOR DEEP-FRIED SHELL

  • Step 6: Deep fry tortilla in bowl shape.

  • Step 7: Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar

  • Step 8: Put a dollop of whip cream in the bottom of the shell.

  • Step 9: Place the fried ice cream ball on top of the dollop.

  • Step 10: Drizzle a small amount of honey over the top of the ice cream ball.

  • Step 11: Place 8 whip cream rosettes around the ice cream ball and one on top.

  • Step 12: Top with a maraschino cherry.
