Step 1: In a one cup glass measuring cup that is microwave safe heat the chocolate chips and 4 tablespoons of the cream at 50% power for about 30 seconds or until chocolate is melted; stir to blend and let the chocolate sauce cool to lukewarm.
Step 2: In a bowl whisk together the mascarpone, amaretto, sugar and remaining cream (2 tablespoons) until blended and mixture begins to thicken.
Step 3: Using a 2 1/2 inch round cookie cutter cut a round from each slice of cake. Place one round in each of 4 wine goblets or other glasses. Top each cake round with 3 banana slices, 1 tablespoons of the mascarpone mixture, chocolate sauce and a sprinkling of almonds. Repeat layering one more time for each glass.
