Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 225 grams dry rice (1 cup dry white long-grain, NOT instant rice - this will cook too quickly and get mushy)
  • 1 can (10 ounce) condensed French onion soup (Campbell's)
  • 1 can (10 ounce) beef broth (a good quality)
  • 1 can (4 ounce) sliced mushrooms (drained)
  • 1/2 cup butter (cold, sliced)
  • Ground pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  • Step 2: In a greased 9x9 or 8x8 inch baking dish combine rice, soup, broth and drained mushrooms. Add pepper to taste.

  • Step 3: Place the butter slices on top of the mixture.

  • Step 4: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  • Step 5: Remove cover and bake 30 minutes more.
