Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 250 grams sliced bread (8 slices of thick cut bread, they used a sourdough)
  • 750 grams shrimp (green prawns, about 20 shelled and deveined and chopped into small pieces)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (minced)
  • 50 grams butter (softened at room temperature)
  • Parsley (1 bunch, chopped)
  • 1 small chili pepper (deseeded and chopped finely)
  • 100 grams bacon (finely diced)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients.

  • Step 2: Butter the outer layers of the slices of bread, spread a good amount of the mixture in the bowl onto the bottom bread slices.

  • Step 3: Place the bottom bread slices onto a hot jaffle make, buttered side down, cover them with the top bread slices with the butter side facing up.

  • Step 4: Close the jaffle maker and leave until cooked through and golden brown - about 5 to 10 minutes.
