Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds beef sirloin (cut into 1 inch cubes, and patted dry)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground pepper
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • Oil, for frying
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounce) condensed cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
  • 1 can (15 ounce) low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 envelope (1 ounce) dry onion soup mix (low-sodium if possible)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Dried Parsley for garnish

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl combine flour, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper. Dredge sirloin pieces lightly in flour mixture.

  • Step 2: In a large skillet heat oil over medium-high heat. Brown beef in batches, until browned on all sides. Transfer to slow cooker. Add in chopped onion.

  • Step 3: In a small bowl combine condensed soup, onion soup mix, beef broth and Worcestershire. Mix well. Pour over beef. Add water, bouillon cube, and more pepper to taste. Stir well. Cook on LOW 6-8 hours until gravy has thickened a bit and beef is cooked through.

  • Step 4: Serve over cooked egg noodles, rice or mashed potatoes. Garnish with parsley if desired.
