Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion (chopped)
  • 6 garlic cloves (pressed)
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup clam juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cans (15 ounce) chopped tomatoes (in juice)
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves (or parsley)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Kosher salt
  • 2 (2 pounds) whole crabs (dungeness crabs, cooked, cleaned, quartered, cracked, or 2 pounds king crab legs)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In a ovenproof deep skillet or a large roasting pan heat it over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic; saluting until soft (5 minutes). Stir in wine, increase heat to high and boil for 2 minutes. Add clam juice, water, tomatoes, bay leaves, cilantro or parlay and crushed red pepper flakes and bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 15 minutes. Add crab pieces.

  • Step 3: Transfer skillet to oven and roast unti crab pieces are cooked through (15-20 minutes).

  • Step 4: Place crab with the juices in a large bowl.
