  • 3 pounds avocado (6 avocados, halved, pitted, peeled and diced)
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons chopped basil
  • 1/2 cup chopped shallots

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a bowl place eh avocados and add the lemon juice. Using a fork or potato masher mash or crush the avocados. Mix in 1/2 cup chopped basil and shallots. Season to taste with salt and pepper. This can be made one hour ahead; covered and chilled.

  • Step 2: Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl; garnish with basil leaves if desired and place on a platter. arrange toasts can crudités around the bowl.
