Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/8 cup butter (it called for size of a walnut, I'm thinking eyeballing it here lol)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup persimmon pulp
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (or hickory nuts)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place sugar and milk in heavy saucepan.

  • Step 2: Bring to a rolling boil.

  • Step 3: Reduce heat, and boil until small amount forms a soft ball in cold water.

  • Step 4: Remove from heat, and add butter (the size of a walnut), vanilla, persimmon pulp and nuts.

  • Step 5: Let cool to room temperature.

  • Step 6: Beat until mixture begins to thicken.

  • Step 7: Spread on cloth wrung out in cold water.

  • Step 8: Roll candy, remove cloth, and let cool.

  • Step 9: Slice to serve.
