Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup butter (at room temperature, use salted butter)
  • 3/4 cups confectioners' sugar (more for rolling)
  • 4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pecan nuts (toasted, cooled, and finely ground using a food processor, stop as soon as it looks ground; avoid it becoming pasty)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cream together butter, 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla in a stand mixer.

  • Step 2: Add flour into butter mixture 1/2 cup at a time, when all mixed, then mix in ground pecans

  • Step 3: Roll into 24 balls.

  • Step 4: Bake at 350 for 9-12 minutes.

  • Step 5: Remove from oven, let cool 1-2 minutes. WHILE STILL WARM, roll in confectioners' sugar. Cool then roll one more time in the sugar.
