  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 2 pound pork loin roast (cut in 1 inch pieces)
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 cup diced potatoes
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 10 oz package frozen okra
  • 1 package (1.1 ounce) dry onion soup mix (French onion)
  • 1 can (28 ounce) tomatoes
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • Tabasco (sauce)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil. add in pork cubes then brown.

  • Step 2: Add onions, celery, carrots and garlic; cook until softened.

  • Step 3: Add water, dry soup mix, bouillon cubes, pepper, sugar, Tabasco and tomatoes; simmer for 1 hour.

  • Step 4: Add okra and cook 30 more minutes.
