Step 1: In a large pot, combine ground chuck and garlic. Saute over medium-high heat until meat and garlic are browned and meat broken down into small pieces. (5-7 minutes).
Step 2: Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, salt and spices. Stir well, cover and simmer on low for 30 minutes.
Step 3: Add the beans and simmer for 30 minutes more.
Step 4: Stir masa and warm water together until well combined. Mix into the chili and stir well. Allow chili to simmer for 15 more minutes.
Step 5: When ready to serve, have corn chips available to line the bowls and serve the chili over top. Garnish with cheese and onions.
