Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 to 4 bananas
  • 1 lemon (juice of, about 1/4 cup)
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 cups breadcrumbs (soft)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 can (14 ounce) whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 grated lemon (zest of)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F.

  • Step 2: Peel and slice the bananas and sprinkle the lemon juice over them. Set aside.

  • Step 3: Combine sugar, crumbs, cinnamon and nutmeg and mix well. Remove 1/2 cup of mixture and set aside.

  • Step 4: Place alternate layers of crumb mixture and bananas in a 1 1/2 quart casserole or baking dish.

  • Step 5: Top with cranberry sauce, reserved crumb mixture, and lemon zest.

  • Step 6: Dot with butter.

  • Step 7: Bake 25 minutes.
