Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1/3 to 1/2 yellow onion
  • 2 cans (8 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Rosemary, Italian Seasoning (to taste)
  • 2 cups cooked wild rice (blend)
  • 2 to 3 medium (12 to 18 ounces) green bell peppers

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook ground beef and onions. Drain

  • Step 2: Stir in 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce, 1 Tablespoon parmesan, salt, pepper and spices.

  • Step 3: Remove tops and seeds from peppers, cut in half lengthwise place in bottom of ungreased baking dish.

  • Step 4: Spoon mixture on top. spoon rest of tomato sauce over and sprinkle with remaining cheese.

  • Step 5: Bake 20 - 30 minutes or pepper are tender. let set 5 minutes before serving
