Step 1: Heat the butter in large skillet over medium high heat (make sure you have a large skillet, the macaroni swells when cooked and takes up room in the pan). Add ground beef breaking the meat up as it cooks (I like to leave the beef in small chunks) When the meat is no longer pink drain fat then add in all the dry spices, continue to cook until the beef is browned and cooked completely. Add in tomato paste, cook stirring until combined with the meat (about 1 minute)
Step 2: Add broth, water, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Add dry macaroni and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, simmer uncovered stirring occasionally for about 15-20 minutes or until macaroni soft and liquid has 80% reduced. Keep over lowest heat to keep warm while you make the cheese sauce.
Step 3: Prepare the cheese sauce as instructed on the recipe.
Step 4: Mix in the cheese sauce to hamburger and noodle mixture starting with a small amount and adding in more until the cheese flavor is to your liking. Enjoy!
